Beauty Remedies Every Youth Should Know

Written By - The Young Vision Ambassador, Neitya Pathania.

Young people spend a lot on beauty products – beautiful skin, nails, teeth and hair, yet most of these products do not even give them the desired result.

There is no necessity to spend a lot to have a spotless look; you can get a flawless skin in many easier ways with a promising result. It is essential to take care of proper sleep, nutrition and health for beautiful skin while you use these remedies.

HERE ARE A FEW REMEDIES FOR 5 PROBLEMS FACED BY THE YOUTH TODAY

1. Acne

The most common problem among the youth is acne, blemishes and other skin breakouts. Acne appears due to excessive oil, dead skin cells, clogged pores and bacteria …it can appear on the face, chest, back and scalp.

Remedy:-

Apply a little bit of white toothpaste before going to bed and, the next morning, cleanse your face thoroughly. Keep repeating this remedy until your acne vanishes
Another effective remedy for getting rid of acne is Aloe Vera gel, which is anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory and helps kill the acne-causing bacteria. You just need to apply the Aloe Vera gel from the Aloe Vera leaf 2 to 3 times a day.

2. Chapped Lips

You face is the main attraction to show your beauty, and when it comes to your face, your lips are the main attraction. While soft, pink lips boost the appearance of your face, cracked and dark lips can spoil your overall beauty!!! Direct exposure to sunlight, high caffeine intake and hormonal imbalance can lead to dry and dark lips. For soft, pink lips, try the following remedy:

Remedy:-

Prepare a lip scrub using 1 teaspoon honey and 2 teaspoons sugar. After mixing it well, gently scrub the mix on your lips. Follow this for a couple of minutes, once in a week.
Keeping your lips moisturised is another factor to having your lips look soft and pink and you can do it with the use of lukewarm coconut or olive oil, once or twice daily.

3. Yellow Teeth

Who doesn’t want a bright shiny and sparkling smile? Everyone wants one, even me!!! Good oral hygiene plays an important role in maintaining sparkling white teeth. Hereditary factors, excessive consumption of tea or coffee and use of hard water can stain the teeth and make them appear yellow. There are many teeth-whitening products in the market, but many are heavy on your pocket. No need to worry, as there is an easy solution for this. Here is one such remedy the can make your teeth sparkle pearl white…

Add a ¼ teaspoon of baking soda with a small pea size amount of your toothpaste, then gently brush it on your teeth, once in a week. Do not eat or drink anything immediately after this remedy.

Every night before going to sleep, rub a fresh orange peel (the inside portion) onto your teeth, at least for a week.

4. Oily Hair

Oily hair is just a nightmare for me!!! Oily hair is more prone to dandruff and makes hairs itchy and also makes hair look lifeless and neglected. Some minor hair problems can be cured easily using the following remedy…

Remedy:-

Wash your hair more regularly and for washing your hair do not use hot water. Instead, use lukewarm water only.

Try combing your hair instead of using a hair brush as it distributes the sebum throughout your hair from the roots to the ends.

You can also apply baby powder or talcum powder on your hair when you are unable to wash your hair. This will absorb excess oil and act as a dry shampoo, after which you can brush your hair gently.

5. Puffy Eyes

Puffy eyes! Any youth would go crazy seeing how dull their face looks because of puffy eyes as well as dark circles under the eyes after waking up. There may be several reason for this such as excessive crying, late night partying, excessive stress, genetics, hormonal changes in the body, lack of sleep, and so on. These simple remedies can get rid of this problem-

Remedy:-

Chill two metal spoons for 15 minutes in the refrigerator and then place the upper surface of the spoon on the eyes for at least 1 minute then replace the warm spoon with a cold spoon. Keep on doing this until the skin tightens up.

You can also chill used green or black tea bags in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. Close your eyes and place them over your eyes for 10 minutes.

Another remedy which is effective is placing a thick slice of chilled cucumber on your eye for 10- 15 minutes. This will reduce the swelling and freshen and nourish your eyes.
